Julia Maesa

Julia Maesa was the grandmother of both Elagabalus and Severus Alexander, and the kingmaker behind both reigns. She conspired and fomented the successful rebellion against Macrinus, installing first Elagablus as emperor and then, when his reign proved disastrous, had him murdered and replaced by Severus Alexander.
