Lucilla was the wife of co-emperor Lucius Verus, daughter of Marcus
Aurelius, and sister of Commodus. In A.D 182 she was exiled and
eventually executed for plotting against Commodus. Evidently she knew
something that Marcus Aurelius didn’t. Would that she had succeeded.
Then again, if she had, the movie Gladiator would never have been made.
