Severus II

An officer in the Roman army, Flavius Valerius Severus, a.k.a. Severus II, was appointed Caesar by Galerius after the retirement of Diocletian and Maximian. He was quickly caught up in the power struggles between Galerius, Constantine I, Maxentius and Maximian and, after a failed attempt to capture Rome, imprisoned and executed by Maxentius.
