Theodosius I ("the Great")

Theodosius I was the last truly great general/leader of the Roman Empire, and the last leader to rule over an--albeit briefly--united Empire. His promotion of Orthodox Christianity and official suppression of Paganism earned him the title “the Great” by later Christian historians.
