Theodosius II

Theodosius II, grandson of Theodosius I and son of Arcadius, ascended to the throne at age 7 after his father’s death. A quiet, pious, and somewhat weak emperor, his reign lasted 42 years - the longest in all of Roman history! He is remembered today mostly for his extensive codification of Roman law.
